 The CPL Singapore 2006 was declared officially open during the Opening Ceremony and Press Conference on Friday, 15th September 2006. Some 167 esteemed guests, friends of the media and international gamers attended the event at E2Max, Singapore.

Both Quake 3 and Counter-Strike 1.6 participants must check-in on-site at E2Max
on Friday, September 15, 2006 from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM.
Individuals that do not check-in by 1:30 PM will be disqualified from the tournament.
The gaming tournament will begin from 2pm onwards.

In lieu of the prize restructuring by the CPL Singapore event organizer - Edge
of Reality, Razer has decided to step in to avoid disappointment from the gamers.
Razer will contribute SG$2,000 to the Most Valuable Player (MVP) of Quake 3
and Most Valuable Team (MVT) of Counter-Strike 1.6. The winners of these awards
will be selected based on the highest net frag count and will receive S$500
and SG$1,500 respectively.
Razer will also be giving away the latest Razer Barracuda™ HP-1 Gaming
Headphones to the lucky winner of the "Guess The MVP/MVT” Contest.
